Forums Usage Change Log

*** News Flash! ***

This program has now officially been released as beta under the GPLv2 license. Keep in mind, it's still very rough around the edges. At the moment, it's more suitable to those that are at least somewhat familiar with how podcast RSS feeds work. The next release of NewPodFeed will be licensed under the GPLv3.

See the Usage link above for instructions.

Installation

The binary program is just a jar file in a .zip file (a little redundant, eh?) Just extract the jar file, and in Linux, providing you have the right version of Java installed and it's in your path, you should just be able to type "java -jar NewPodFeed.jar" on the command line.

With Windows, you should be able to just double-click on the jar file.

With Mac OS X, I'm not really sure. I don't have access to a Mac to test things out. I would imagine that you would run it just as you would run any other jar file. If you'd like to donate a Mac, feel free.

The program is being developed with the NetBeans IDE.

How can I help?

If you really wanted to help, the program is in some serious need of some documentation. The code isn't even commented yet. These are things I will eventually get to, but if you want to help out with them, feel free. Also, this website is obviously pretty plain. If you want to help out with that, be my guest.
